2013 was an interesting year. On the surface it was not a life changing year. There were no big life milestones. I seemed to just collect little personal accomplishments along the way.
2013 was the first time in ten years I made it back to England. I was able to spend time with family and friends and see how much my childhood home has changed.
2013 was the year I started to exercise and lose a bit of weight (and then gained most of it back by the end of the year…) but I’m hoping those healthy habits stay with me. I have started hiking and walking to stay fit. I also went clubbing and whitewater rafting. Knock those two things off my bucket list!
2013 was the first time in a long while that I actually enjoyed my birthday. I was in Washington D.C. for it. So my colleagues and I went out for a fantastic dinner and then the boss joined us for drinks and a late night monument walk. It was a perfect start to my 25th year.
2013 was not a landmark year for me with regards to photography. In fact, it was the year I took a step back from photography. I still took a bunch of iPhone photos. I just was not going out and shooting with my Pentax as often as I once did.
2013 is over now. It is the year that was. 2014 is here and it is now. Here is to knocking off a few more items off my bucket list, adding new goals to that list, and making friends along the way!
Since I mostly took iPhone photos I decided to pick my favorite ones for each month and lay them all out. There are some really great memories here for me. Happy 2014!
